Trainwreck Fries
This appetizer was insanely good! Maybe the best homemade fries I've ever had!
Baked Haddock
This dish was delicious! The lemon butter cream sauce was to die for. Looked and tasted very fresh. Will def get again!
Crispy Chicken Wings or Boneless Chicken Tenders
The boneless wings are so good. I like the slight kick to the mild sauce. It's not too strong for those of us that can't handle hot, but it does give a nice kick. When paired with the amazing fries it is the meal I get every time. It's hard to try something else when you find a favorite dish!
Crispy Fish Cakes
Excellent. Nice crispy exterior with just right mix of seafood and seasonings. But my favorite...was the perfect popover brought out while I waited for my platter. Such a surprise! Big step up from a couple slices of bread. Very few places to actually purchase a popover. But this was just a lovely addition from the kitchen.
Mushroom Swiss Burger
AMAZING!!!! Very high quality meat
Bourbon & Brown Sugar Marinated Steak Tips
We started with the Rhode Island Style Calamari (my favorite way it's prepared!) and couldn't go wrong with a clam chowder --- the smoked bacon is such a great addition to the classic. Rounding things out, with a finale of Steak Tips --- still dreaming about those. Can't wait to be back.
Rhode Island Style Calamari
The calamari was a great appetizer to start with. Lots of bodies and rings with a non-greasy light fry coating. Definitely would recommend.
Pulled Pork
The best sandwich in a long time! The potato wedges were fantastic also. I love this place. My room was beautiful and comfortable. I will stay again without a doubt!
Rice and Bean bowl
I eat vegetarian and have enjoyed the options at the Tavern. I also appreciate that kids eat free on Sundays - something that's great for my family. The kids are always happy and so are the adults. And we love sitting outside on the patio in the nice weather. It's a beautiful spot.
Bell Inn Burger
From the moment the burger was placed before me, I knew I was in for something special. The aroma alone was intoxicating---an irresistible blend of sizzling, perfectly seasoned beef, warm toasted buns, and the unmistakable scent of melted cheese cascading over the patty like a golden waterfall. The first thing that caught my eye was the presentation. The glossy, slightly crisped brioche bun glistened under the light, suggesting a delicate balance of softness and structure. The rich, golden-brown hue indicated it had been lightly buttered and toasted to perfection, providing a subtle crunch with every bite. Beneath the top bun, the layers of ingredients were arranged with precision, each element contributing to the masterpiece. The patty itself was thick and juicy, a handcrafted work of culinary art, seared to perfection on the outside while maintaining a tender, flavorful interior. The juices glistened on the surface, promising an explosion of rich, beefy goodness. Cooked to a flawless medium, it retained the perfect pink center---just enough to maximize flavor without overpowering the other ingredients. The cheese, a velvety blanket of sharp cheddar and creamy American, had melted just enough to envelop the patty without dripping excessively. It clung to the meat, infusing every bite with a luscious, slightly tangy richness that complemented the bold umami of the beef. The lettuce---crisp, vibrant green, and refreshingly cool---provided a necessary contrast, its crunch adding texture to the otherwise tender elements. The tomato slices were thick and juicy, bursting with natural sweetness that balanced the burger's savoriness. Meanwhile, the pickles, sliced into perfect rounds, introduced a tart, slightly vinegary bite that cut through the richness with ease. Then, there was the sauce---oh, the sauce! A house-made blend of creamy mayo, tangy mustard, a hint of smoky barbecue, and just a whisper of garlic aioli. It was slathered in just the right proportion, ensuring that every bite carried its smooth, zesty embrace without overwhelming the other flavors. The bottom bun absorbed just enough of the juices and sauce to be flavorful without becoming soggy, maintaining its integrity to the very last bite. With anticipation, I took my first bite, and my taste buds were instantly engulfed in an explosion of flavors. The smoky char of the beef, the rich creaminess of the cheese, the refreshing crispness of the lettuce and tomato, and the tangy pop of the pickles created an exquisite harmony. Every bite was an adventure, a carefully crafted balance of textures and tastes that kept me coming back for more. Halfway through, I paused---not out of disappointment, but to savor the moment. The way the flavors melded together was nothing short of a culinary revelation. The brioche bun, sturdy yet tender, never fell apart, allowing me to enjoy each mouthful without distraction. Every ingredient played a role, like members of a well-rehearsed orchestra, delivering a symphony of taste that resonated long after the last bite. As I finished the final morsel, I couldn't help but marvel at the experience. This wasn't just a meal---it was a testament to the art of burger-making. From the expertly grilled patty to the precise layering of fresh ingredients and the perfect ratio of sauce, everything about this burger was flawless. It was indulgence without excess, comfort without monotony. Would I have it again? Absolutely. I would drive miles for this burger, wait in long lines, and clear my schedule just for another chance to experience its magic. This wasn't just the best burger I've ever had---it was a reminder of why burgers are one of the greatest culinary creations of all time.
